My small business Journey ~ Day to Day in February

26th of February 6:17am Wednesday 

I just had a idea while I was journalling in my normal paper back journalling about all the things I was grateful for..

The first thing that came to mind is that I was grateful that I got my social media post up about my Easter banners which then lead to Claire the shop owner at Lemon Fizz Collective messaging me and saying I should make a banner or 2 up so that we can hang them up on the window and counter. Which would be amazing I love that this happened.

And anyway I was writing about this and thinking about my journal on here you know the one I haven't gotten back to and thought...

What if I just wrote all my milestones, my gratitude,  things about my business, my struggles and what I do every day in here so you can get a day to day look at the inside of what I'm doing every day to grow my business.?

So it's just a thought at the moment I will have to run it by my manager (my sister) who helps me with absolutely everything and who i am extremely grateful for and see what she thinks.

But thinking back on when I first wanted to start a blog this is what I wanted it to be like raw, uncensored and real life so yeah we will see if this is a thing or not. And if it is I'm going to use my 10 minutes or journalling time in my miracle morning today write about my yesterday. 

Yesterday I made 2 more Easter mugs to go in the shop, some Easter Scatters which took so long just for one little bag (i need at least 2 to start with) and while I was making them I put together 2 Easter Scrapbooking kits. 

While I was watching the Rookie with my daughter I got on my phone and continued renaming my photos on my website to help with SEO. Did you know when all your photos have names on them it helps with Google finding them and putting them in the view of other people to find them? This is one of the many things i have learnt about SEO. We use Spyfu which has truly helped with my SEO so much.

27th Feb 2025 6:10am Thursday 

Yesterday I had a thought... If I was to get a bigger shelf at Lemon Fizz Collective shop I could display my boxes and possibly get more sales. It is about $20 extra a week but she has to know by this Sunday so should I? My sister came up yesterday and I talked this over with her and she thinks it definitely should! I also finished my scatters off yesterday and packed up some banners to take to the shop for display.

I am working in the shop today from 9 to 1pm. As usual I got out my phone and renamed a few photos last night also. 

Thats all I have for yesterday I just have this huge decision to make i will talk it over with my manager too.

28th February 2025 6:11am 

The last day of February, that means it's time to check out my money for the month, reflect on the month and make goals for the new month. 

Money ~ not great, I earnt $143 through the lemon fizz shop and etsy but paid $210 for my shelve I still have 2 weeks to go and used $80 for expenses. So I am at a loss this this month and will need to put money in. 

Event though I am not earning profit I still want to get a bigger shelf at Lemon Fizz and display my boxes. I asked the owner yesterday and she said yes so its all hands on deck making boxes. I am going to display my Easter Box, my small activity box and if it fits my large activity box. 

I worked at the shop yesterday ~ didn't sell anything of my products but showed some people and talked to some people about my bigger shelf idea. They are thought it was a great idea. I also met a lovely lady who owns the naked cat where she sells beautiful candles and room sprays. This is my favourite

She was inquing about a shelf and mentioned that she wouldn't mind going half's with me at a market sometime. Not sure if i want to jump into the market area again but we will see where this leads. She also took my business card. I immediately looked her up and fell in love with her candles this is my favourite I hope she gets a shelf at the shop. 🤞

After I got home from my shift I started on my Easter boxes making banners and Scrapbooking kits. I had the night off from computer work I was exhausted. But I did get to message Anne back and forth about putting my award up on my website yay!

She also read through this journal blog and said I should go live with it and read through my jungle party box blog and said that was ready to post so yay we now are live!!
